Welcome to Tim Faverjon's website!
I'm a PhD student in Computational Sociology at the médialab at Sciences Po and Université Paris-Cité.
I work on recommendation algorithms, and in particular, I'm interested in algorithmic explicability techniques.
As a trained data scientist, I try to tackle the problems associated with recommendation algorithms with a dual approach, both technical and sociological.
As part of my PhD, I'm developing a new method for explaining the politics of recommendation systems.
A more detailed presentation of my thesis subject as well as a list of publications I have participated to or am working on is available on this website.
My work involves developing digital tools, in particular predictive machine learning models, recommendation algorithms and data collection and management tools. I code mainly in Python.
Some of my works are publicly available on my GitHub.
All the resources for the courses I teach are available on this site.
